An efficient septic system is vital to homes or businesses that are unable to connect to the municipal sewer system. A septic system will prepare wastewater to be released back into the soil in a safe manner that protects the environment. There are also many regulations surrounding septic systems that must be followed, and Antlers Well Drilling has the resources to follow these rules.

Wastewater can contain contaminants that are harmful if they make it into your drinking water or nearby lakes or rivers. Thankfully, we have the knowledge about both septic systems and well drilling. We’ll make sure they’re safely distanced from each other, and both follow safety regulations.

Not sure what type of septic system you need?

You aren’t alone! That’s why we will come take a look at your site and inform you of what system would work best. There’s a lot of factors to consider when choosing a system, but we’ll make the whole process a breeze.

Septic Tanks vs. Holding Tanks

They’re both called tanks and they both hold wastewater, but that’s where the similarities end. Septic tanks treat water enough for it to be released back into the ground but holding tanks don’t perform any treatments. Holding tanks do just that, they only hold water; no treatment and no expelling water. Since septic tanks release treated water, they only have to be pumped every 2-3 years. On the other hand, holding tanks have to be emptied much more frequently—around every 6-8 weeks depending on size and usage. If you’re unsure which tank you need for your situation, give us a call.
